The main port for the Tremiti Islands is on the island of San Domino, where ferries and hydrofoils arrive from the ports on the East coast of Italy. The port is located in the north-east of the island in the area of Cala degli Schiavoni. It is a natural harbor, protected by a bay that shelters it from the winds. Termoli is a seaside town on Italy's Adriatic coast. It is situated in the relatively unknown region of Molise and has a population of around 32,000.
