The country is packed full of heavenly beaches, making it the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Desert, mountains and oceans; Morocco's landscape is so varied, it has something to offer everyone! Whether you are a watersport enthusiast or you just want to lie on the beach and soak up the sun, let Netferry tell you about the five of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco.

Taghazout beach

Only a few kilometres from Agadir, Taghazout has become a popular destination for surfers. Watersport enthusiasts from all over the world meet here in "wavy season" - between December and March – when big winter swells from the North Atlantic hit the Moroccan shore. This beach is very relaxed, and the locals are very welcoming and always willing to help. The village is also famous for its delicious fish restaurants and the production of the famous Argan oil.

Dragon beach (Dakhla)

Situated in the south of Morocco, between the Sahara and the Atlantic Ocean, 'Dragon island' is a peaceful place shaped like a dragon lying on its stomach. This beach is easily comparable to a Caribbean island, it is heaven on earth. There are no traces of other people, just stunning dunes with immense stretches of white sand. The sea winds and the surrounding peaks protect the interior of the bay from strong currents and hot desert winds. People come here for sailing, swimming and kitesurfing.

Saidia beach

Known as 'the Blue Pearl of the Mediterranean', Saidia is a small city on the border with Algeria, close to Oujda in the northeast. Its 14 kilometres of coastline offer one of the most beautiful and well-equipped beaches in the country. The city attracts tourists from all over Morocco and beyond. It is the perfect place to enjoy golden sand, the warm Mediterranean weather and the city's calm atmosphere.

Playa Blanca (Guelmin)

Located in southern Morocco, opposite the Canary Islands, this beach was referred to as 'Playa Blanca' by Spanish explorers. The beach is about a forty-kilometre stretch, entirely covered by white sand dunes. It is considered the longest and one of the wildest beaches in Morocco. 'Playa Blanca' may be tricky to reach, due to its remote location. Still, those who make an effort are rewarded with tranquillity and peace.  If you're looking to chill out in a place where silence is only broken by the sound of the waves, then this is the beach for you!

Agadir

Situated in the middle of the Atlantic coast, Agadir is the ideal resort for those who want to spend time on a beautiful beach, surrounded by comfort and luxury. The area is full of well-equipped beaches, luxury hotels and restaurants to suit every taste. Temperatures are never too hot, even at the height of the summer, making Agadir especially popular with families.
